RBI Officer Grade B 2018 Exam Notification
Reserve Bank of India will release the recruitment notification for the post of RBI Officer Grade B 2018 exam by 3rd July 2018 (tentative). RBI Grade B 2018 exam has a three phase selection process. RBI Grade-B Officer Phase-I Exam is scheduled on 16th August 2018 and Phase-II will be conducted on 07th September 2018. Candidates who get selected after Phase-II of the exam are called for the final interview process.

RBI Grade B Salary 2018
All the Officers selected through RBI Grade B 2018 Exam will be given the annual salary of 12-14 Lac. Along with this CTC comes numerous emoluments and perks. The Pay Scale for the RBI grade B Officer is Rs. 35150-1750(9)-50900-EB-1750(2)-54400-2000(4)-62400. This means that you will be having basic pay of Rs. 35,150/- in which you will get an increment of Rs. 1,750/- up till nine years of your service. After the completion of nine years you will get into the executive band wherein the basic pay will be of Rs. 50,900/- and then again for the next two years you will get an increment of Rs. 1,750/- and further an increment of rs. 2000/- for the following 2 years thus ending up with the basic pay of Rs. 62,400/- and this is when you don’t get any promotion. Apart from the Basic Pay, multiple emoluments such as Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Family Allowance, Telephone Allowance, Conveyance Allowance etc. will also be provided.
RBI Grade B 2018 Exam Pattern
It has been decided by the Reserve Bank of India to introduce a new scheme of selection for recruitment of officers in Grade-‘B’ (DR), from recruitment year 2015. Under the new scheme of selection the examination will be computer based (Objective type with Multiple Choice Question pattern) and consists of two phases, viz., Phase-I and Phase-II, followed by Interview. While Phase-I examination will continue as per existing Phase-I examination for Grade-‘B’ (DR), Phase-II examination will consist of three papers of which two will be compulsory papers and one optional paper. The compulsory papers are Paper-I on ‘English’ and Paper-II on ‘Economic and Social Issues’. The optional Paper- Paper-III will have options of subjects, viz., ‘Finance & Management’ or ‘Economics’ or ‘Statistics’. In Phase-II the paper on ‘English’ will be descriptive type and computer based, i.e. to be typed on computer screen with the help of the keyboard. Prospective candidates are advised that Phase-II of the examination will be conducted within two to three weeks of Phase-I of the examination.

RBI Grade B Officer Interview Process
Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview, based on aggregate marks obtained in Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III of Phase II exam. Interview Process will carry 50 marks.
RBI Grade B Syllabus
RBI Grade B syllabus is similar to that of any other bank exam. There are four major sections that a candidate needs to prepare to ace the preliminary exam. These are Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language and General Awareness. The sections have a wide range of topics on which questions are based. It is recommended that candidates must have a look at the previous year papers and know about the weightage of each topic.
RBI Grade B 2018 Eligibility
A Minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PWD) or equivalent in Bachelor’s Degree as well as in 12th and 10th standard examinations.
Age Criteria and Age Relaxation in upper age limit
(i) The present age criteria of “Between 21 to 30 years” will be retained.
(ii) For M. Phil and Ph. D candidates the upper age limit will be 32 and 34 years, respectively.
(iii) As per extant practice age relaxation will be available to experienced candidates viz. candidates having experience as an officer in Commercial Bank/ Financial Institution in Public Sector as also candidates with prior experience in Reserve Bank of India, to the extent of number of years of such experience subject to a maximum of three years. For such candidates, upper age limit should not exceed 33 years including experience. For experience, probationary period will not be reckoned.
(iv) There are relaxations in upper age limit as per statutory requirements and for the staff.
As per existing practice cumulative age relaxation will not be available in combination with any items mentioned at (ii) (iii) & (iv).
Candidates having Doctorate degree with aggregate 50% marks can also apply for the RBI examination. In addition to this, candidates having masters’ degree with 55% marks will be allowed to apply for the RBI Exam 2018. Candidates having post graduate diploma in management or Masters of Business administration can also apply for the RBI Officer Grade B exam 2018. Chartered Accountant (CA), Company secretary or Cost Accountant can also apply for this examination.
Number of attempts:
The maximum permissible number of attempts (which were applicable for candidates belonging to Unreserved/General Category) has been increased from 4 to 6.
RBI Grade B 2018 Exam Application Fees
A total of Rs. 850/- is the application fee to be paid by candidates belonging to General and OBC category for RBI Grade B 2018 exam. The same amount is reduced to Rs. 100/- for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category.
RBI Grade B 2018 Admit Card
The RBI Grade B Admit Card 2018 will be released separately for both Phase-I and Phase-II exam. The admit card for Phase-II Exam will be issued to candidates who have qualified the Phase-I exam of RBI Grade B.
RBI Grade B 2018 Exam Results
The results for RBI Grade B 2018 Exam will be released after the completion of each phase of the exam. A candidate is required to qualify both Phase-I and Phase-II exam to get a chance to sit for the interview process. The merit list is prepared in the descending order of the marks obtained by candidates after the interview process is complete. The final selection is based on how well you do in your interview.
RBI Grade B Exam Cut Off
The cut off for RBI Grade B 2018 Exam will be released after each phase of examination is completed. The cut-off for the Phase-I exam will be released first followed by cut off for Phase-II exam. Candidates can evaluate their marks and their chances of selection by matching their score with the cut off list released by RBI.
