Kalraj Mishra, Governor of Himachal is transferred & appointed as Governor of Rajasthan. Bandaru Dattatreya appointed as Governor of Himachal Pradesh. Bhagat Singh Koshyari appointed as Governor of Maharashtra. Arif Mohammed Khan appointed as Governor of Kerala. Tamilisai Soundararajan appointed as Governor of Telangana on 1 September 2019.

Lal ji Tondon appointed as Governor of Bihar, Anandi Ben Patel shunted to Uttar Pradesh, Jagdeep Dhankhad appointed as Governor of West Bengal, Ramesh Baish appointed as Governor of Tripura, R.N. Ravi appointed as Governor of Nagaland, Faagu Chauhan appointed as Governor of Bihar on 20 July 2019.

Jammu & Kashmir is now separated into two Union Territories. One is Jammu & Kashmir & Other is Ladakh.

Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik has been transferred and appointed as Governor of Goa. Former IAS officers Girish Chandra Murmu and Radha Krishna Mathur will take his place as Lieutenant Governors of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. respectively. The two Union Territories came to existence on October 31.
